As the world rapidly evolves, the skills that students need to learn and develop are constantly changing. In the early 1970s or 1980s, a local farmer in Kolhapur, India, shared with me how his family managed their sugarcane lands and how they worked together for the greater good of the community. During my travels on a MSRTC bus, I conversed with a local farmer from the Kolhapur region. He explained how his family, a joint family, managed their sugarcane lands. His three brothers had different roles: one worked at a nearby sugar mill, one had a shop in the village, and another ran a tractor and equipment repair shop. The fourth brother took care of all the family's odd jobs, including the purchase and sale of other farm produce. Their cooperation and mutual support created a happy and successful family environment.

This example highlights the importance of developing skills that foster cooperation, hard work, and community involvement. In today's context, such traits are crucial for success in a rapidly changing world.
